about us & the site

Living in New York for the better part of our lives, we were always astonished how often we missed shows, constantly relying on friends to keep us in the loop. We were equally astonished that there weren't any simple, easy to use sites centered around the live New York music scene. We don't want editorial content getting between us and the good stuff, and moreso, we want to be able to view the good stuff on the go. So here's our solution to the problem.

With nyconcertlist.com you can easily browse our huge database of concert information for New York City and the surrounding areas. Save venues and artists to build your personal calendar. Then, if you so chose, we will email you when new shows at your saved venues or with your saved artists are scheduled. You can also add individual shows to your calendar if you don't want to save all shows by a particular artist or at a particular venue.

our plans

We have a lot planned for the site, but we'll be sure it won't keep you from what you're after. The short list:
• custom RSS feeds (publish your personalized calendar to your google page, yahoo page, or wherever)
• mobile-friendly version to find shows on the go
• more venue and artist info
• browsing shows by neighborhood (LES, Williamsburg, etc)

The majority if our data is provided by Jambase.com as indicated by the JamBase logo adjacent to shows they provided info for. Definitely pay them a visit. Clicking their logo will take you to more detailed information about the individual shows. That information is subject to JamBase's terms of use.

The rest of our data comes from user submissions and venue / band websites. If you find any data that should not be posted for any reason, let us know and we'll remove it immediately.
